Rise of the Christian Church Lesson

In this lesson, students will learn about the historical evolution of Christianity from its early days of persecution to its establishment as a dominant cultural and religious force in the early Middle Ages. They will explore key events, figures, and developments that shaped the growth and influence of the Catholic Church during this period. Students will have the opportunity to achieve this through choosing their own method of learning, from reading, source analysis, and research options, as well as the chance to engage in extension activities.
