Learning objectives

In this lesson, students will learn about the key events, figures, and motivations that drove the centuries-long Reconquista in Spain, as well as its profound impact on the region's religious, cultural, and political landscape. They will also explore how the Reconquista shaped the interactions between Christian and Muslim societies in medieval Europe. Students will have the opportunity to achieve this through choosing their own method of learning, from reading, research, and video watching options, as well as the chance to engage in extension activities. This lesson includes a self-marking quiz for students to demonstrate their learning.
