In this lesson, students will learn about the significant political reforms proposed by Tiberius and Gaius Gracchus during the late Roman Republic, including their efforts to address social inequality and land redistribution. They will also explore the violent opposition the brothers faced from the Senate, which ultimately led to their deaths and set a precedent for political violence in Rome. Students will have the opportunity to achieve this through choosing their own method of learning, from reading, source analysis, research, and video watching options, as well as the chance to engage in extension activities. This lesson includes a self-marking quiz for students to demonstrate their learning.
