Battle of Thermopylae Lesson
Learning objectives
In this lesson, students will learn about the strategic significance and heroic defense of the Battle of Thermopylae, focusing on the leadership of King Leonidas and the unity of the Greek city-states against the overwhelming Persian forces. Students will have the opportunity to achieve this through choosing their own method of learning, from reading, research, and video watching options, as well as the chance to engage in extension activities.
