Russo-Japanese War Lesson

In this lesson, students will learn about the causes, major battles, and consequences of the Russo-Japanese War, including the geopolitical shifts it caused and its role in the decline of Imperial Russia and the rise of Japan as a major world power. They will also examine how this conflict signaled a historic shift in the balance of power between European and Asian nations at the turn of the 20th century. Students will have the opportunity to achieve this through choosing their own method of learning, from reading, research, and video watching options, as well as the chance to engage in extension activities.
