The Berlin Blockade Lesson

In this lesson, students will explore the historical context and geopolitical tensions that led to the Berlin Blockade, gaining insights into the ideological conflict between the capitalist West and communist Soviet Union, the subsequent airlift operation, and the impact on the citizens of Berlin. Additionally, they will analyze the broader implications of the blockade on Cold War dynamics, the division of Germany into East and West, and the establishment of NATO and the Warsaw Pact as opposing military alliances.
