In this lesson, students will explore the socio-economic and political factors in post-World War I Germany that contributed to the rise of the Nazi Party and Adolf Hitler's ascent to power. They will also examine how the democratic structures of the Weimar Republic were manipulated, leading to the establishment of one of history's most infamous dictatorships. Students will have the opportunity to achieve this through choosing their own method of learning, from reading, research, and video watching options, as well as the chance to engage in extension activities. This lesson includes a self-marking quiz for students to demonstrate their learning.
