In this lesson, students will learn about the Stolen Generations, a critical and painful chapter in Australian history where First Nations children were forcibly removed from their families as part of a government policy of assimilation. They will explore the long-term impacts of this policy on Indigenous communities, the cultural and social consequences, and the ongoing efforts towards reconciliation and healing in Australia. Students will have the opportunity to achieve this through choosing their own method of learning, from reading, research, and video watching options, as well as the chance to engage in extension activities. This lesson includes a self-marking quiz for students to demonstrate their learning.
