Unification of Germany Lesson
Learning objectives
In this lesson, students will learn how Otto von Bismarck used strategic alliances, military force, and diplomacy to unify the German states under Prussian leadership. They will explore key events like the Austro-Prussian and Franco-Prussian Wars, which contributed to the formation of the German Empire in 1871. Students will have the opportunity to achieve this through choosing their own method of learning, from reading and research options, as well as the chance to engage in extension activities.
