WWII Victory in Europe Lesson

In this lesson, students will delve into the pivotal moments and strategic decisions that led to the Allied victory in World War II, focusing on key events such as Operation Mincemeat, the D-Day landings, and the Battle of the Bulge. They will also explore how the Allies outmaneuvered Hitler's war machine through intelligence, multi-front warfare, and decisive military actions, ultimately leading to the fall of Berlin and V-E Day. Students will have the opportunity to achieve this through choosing their own method of learning, from reading and research options, as well as the chance to engage in extension activities. This lesson includes a self-marking quiz for students to demonstrate their learning.
