In this lesson, students will explore the life and reign of Elizabeth I, exploring how she navigated the complex political, religious, and social landscapes of 16th-century England to establish a 'Golden Age'. They will learn about key figures, events, and policies that shaped her rule, as well as the cultural and historical impact she had on England and the broader European context. Students will have the opportunity to achieve this through choosing their own method of learning, from reading and research options, as well as the chance to engage in extension activities. This lesson includes a self-marking quiz for students to demonstrate their learning.
