Learning objectives

In this lesson, students will learn about the types of crimes committed in the Middle Ages and how punishments were determined by social status. They will also explore different forms of punishment, such as public humiliation, corporal punishment, and executions, as well as the influence of the Church on the justice system. Students will have the opportunity to achieve this through choosing their own method of learning, from reading and research options, as well as the chance to engage in extension activities.
