In this lesson, students will examine the causes, key events, and outcomes of the Revolutions of 1848, focusing on how social, economic, and political unrest led to widespread uprisings across Europe. They will examine why these revolutions ultimately failed and how their consequences influenced later movements for national unification and political reform. Students will have the opportunity to achieve this through choosing their own method of learning, from reading and research options, as well as the chance to engage in extension activities. This lesson includes a self-marking quiz for students to demonstrate their learning.
