The Silk Road Lesson

In this lesson, students will learn about the historical significance of the Silk Road, exploring its role in facilitating trade, cultural exchange, and the spread of ideas across continents from the 2nd century BCE to the 18th century. They will also understand the factors contributing to the decline of the Silk Road and its lasting impact on global history. Students will have the opportunity to achieve this through choosing their own method of learning, from reading or research options, as well as the chance to engage in extension activities.
